Free Service Estimate Template
A professional estimate template for solo service businesses — cleaners, landscapers, handymen, repair technicians, and other field service providers. Covers scope, labor, materials, payment schedule, and client approval. What to include on a service estimate: your business name and contact information, the client's name and service address, a unique estimate number, the date and expiry date, a description of the services to be performed, separate line items for labor and materials, payment terms (deposit amount, due on completion), and exclusions or scope assumptions. Deposit before starting: for new clients or larger jobs, collect a deposit before mobilizing. Send a deposit invoice alongside or immediately after the client approves the estimate. Scope clarity: list what is included and — just as importantly — what is not included. Explicitly stating exclusions prevents disputes when additional work comes up during a job. Eligible invoices can be paid online by card when clients connect your Square-linked invoice link, or you can record cash and check payments manually.
